Since 2002, toothpick engineer and artist Stan Munro has created replicas of the world’s great architectural achievements from around the world, exactly to a 1:164 scale. His work allows museum visitors, lovers of travel and architecture, kids and adults alike, to see and appreciate the world’s great architectural achievements in a very literal way. Starting in December 2021, the Assisi Institute will permanently house Stan’s collection of sacred cathedrals and temples from across all traditions. This exhibit, “Sacred Structures,” is open to the public free of charge.

Sacred Structures at the Assisi Institute will open to the public on December 4, 2021, from 10 am until 2 pm with a visit from Stan himself. He will answer questions and even bring some toothpicks and glue for aspiring toothpick artists of all ages. The exhibit will also be open from 10 – 2 on Saturday December 11 and 18 and during open hours at the Assisi Institute.
