Spiritual Direction
The journey to God-realization is the heart and soul of what it means to be human. We exist for the purpose of experiencing the Divine as the very ground of our being, and then allowing this “Enlightened Consciousness” to shine in and through our day-to-day activities. Yet, the path to God-realization is not an easy one. At times, the challenges can be steep. Finding a wise and experienced guide in the process of transformation is not only helpful, but absolutely essential.
The spiritual direction process centers on regularly scheduled meetings with the Assisi Institute’s spiritual director, Craig Bullock. Typically, these meetings include a period of prayerful silence, relevant dialogue, and a final blessing. Most importantly, the process is one of listening or discerning the movement of God’s Spirit in one’s life, which leads to deeper and deeper states of God-communion.
